Situated along Ridge Road in Prince Edward County, where sandy soils meet a protected wetland, this project aims to encapsulate the client's desire for making the most of the property. The scope of the project encompassed a revitalization of the existing farmhouses' exterior, accompanied by a thoughtful addition tailored to accommodate expanded living quarters and essential guest housing.

 

Central to our objective was a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, amplifying the allure of the wetland vistas to the south while fostering effortless entertainment. A defining feature of the project is the expansive bi-folding door that divides the living room and screened porch, offering versatility and doubling the living space when desired.

In response to the architectural context, we honored the farmhouse's legacy by extending the rhythm of its roofline and drawing inspiration from its timeless building form.
